What is brand photography?

A Personal Brand is essentially how others perceive you. The way you present yourself to your audience has a huge impact on your personal brand. It is a reflection of your character, skills, talents and passions in life and captures the essence of your business.

People connect with people and want to know the human behind the brand, which is why it is so important to creatively present yourself and show your audience who you are. It will create and strengthen an emotional connection with your audience. Putting yourself out there can be intimidating but it is such a step forward in order to connect your business to your audience.

The art of building a strong personal brand draws on the concepts of authenticity, excellence, and uniqueness. It celebrates and enhances the aspects of your image that make you who you want to be. Brand photography can include Portraits or a combination of Flat-lays, Product shots, Behind the scenes and Lifestyle imagery, given you an all round “bank” of images to use for social media content, your website and marketing materials.

WHY IS BRAND PHOTOGRAPHY SO IMPORTANT? IN A NUTSHELL…

It creates a strong first impression. A strong brand with captivating imagery will help to create a strong first impression so make this count!

It increases engagement. We live in a world of so much digital noise and are overwhelmed with information coming at us from all angles. Visually exciting, and eye-catching content will grab your audience’s attention quicker that just copy. Not to say copy is super important too. but statistics do prove that posts and features that include images receive a larger engagement than posts with just copy. Thus, captivating photography is key to any social media and online marketing strategy.

It adds value, associate your brand with quality. Low-quality brand imagery, or the use of generic stock imagery is likely to reflect poorly on your brand’s perceived value and will essentially make it harder to build trust and loyalty. People will associate the quality of your imagery with the quality of your brand.

It gets your message across quickly. It sounds cheesy, but it is so true; a picture can say a thousands words! Images inform people about the essence of your brand in a matter of seconds and can instantly portray “the feel” of your brand.

It creates trust. Great-looking photography will give your personal brand another layer of trust and appeal. It takes our brain split seconds to process visual cues, so ensuring your blog, website and socials are filled with bold, beautiful images will help you capture and keep people’s attention and establish a unique image.
